About
Maria Colòn has been been photographing people and places –very rarely things, though she used to photograph inanimate objects during her time as a Design Coordinator at Estee Lauder, Inc. in New York City, but not since then–for over 20 years.
She holds an MFA in Creative Photography and Digital Media from the University of Florida where she had the privilege of learning from esteemed professors Barbara Jo Revelle, Jerry Uelsmann, Sergio Vega, Will Pappenheimer and Max Bescher.
As a die-hard lover of quirks in personality and visually intriguing people, Maria has dedicated most of her work to portraiture capturing the silly, sensitive, weird, ridiculous, tragic and beautiful side of human beings.
